Bulk assigning activities can save you a lot of time if you want to assign all (or some) activities within a module with the same availability and grading settings, instead of assigning activities one by one.

To bulk assign, start by navigating to a module and clicking on the Show Checkboxes icon.

If you'd like to assign all of the activities in the module with the same availability and grading settings, then click on the circle next to "Content". This will select all of the activities in the module.

If you only want to assign a few of the activities in the module with the same availability and grading settings, then click on the circles next to the corresponding activities.

Next, click on the Bulk Edit Items button.

A window will pop up allowing you to set the properties for the selected activities in the module. To change the properties of the items in each section (Assign to Class, Availability, and Grading), click on the circle next to the item you would like to change. This will then allow you to change the settings for that item.

For example, I clicked on the circle next to Assign to Class, which allowed me to turn the switch on - this assigns all of the selected activities to students. I also clicked the circle next to Start Date to set the Start Date and End Date for all of the selected activities.

Once you're finished changing the properties for all the selected activities, click Save.

NOTE: Turning on Allow Late Submissions means students can complete the activities after the end date, but they will still receive a 0. However, you can override this and give them credit by granting them an extension. For instructions on how to do this, click here.

To get out of the checkboxes view, click the Show Checkboxes icon again.
