An Interactive Video is useful when you want to have a student watch a video, but you would like to pause it in order for them to answer a question. All existing prompts on Lingco can be used on an interactive video.

Steps:

  1. Create an activity

  2. Add a Video Content item by dragging or double clicking the item in the activity builder's left nav bar.

  3. You can upload your own video, or use a video in Lingco's Global Library. To use a video in the Global Library, select Click here to choose a video, then click on the Global Content tab.

  4. Click the blue add button ( + ) next to the video you would like to use.

  5. Click the settings button next to the video and turn on Interactive.

  6. Set the video time where you would like to ask a question by hitting play or using the track.

  7. Drag a prompt onto the video.

  8. Edit the prompt as needed. Once you're done editing, click Close in the upper right corner.

  9. You'll now see that you have a dot on the video track. If you need to edit a prompt, click this dot OR the item in the table of contents below the video.

  10. Once selected, you're able to edit the prompt. To update the time, drag the dot on the video track to where you want the prompt to present itself.

  11. To add more prompts, repeat steps 6-10.

  12. Once you're done creating your interactive video, click Create Activity to save. You'll then be directed to a preview of the interactive video.
