Instructors now have the ability to impersonate students in their course to see what students see ("student view"). You can select one student in your roster at a time, then click a button to see what they see in Lingco.
Follow the steps below to try it out!
Step 1: Go to your course Roster
Navigate to a course, then click on Roster tab on the course dashboard.
Step 2: Act as Student
Click on the circle next to the name of a student in your course, then click Act as Student from the roster page.
After you click the button, you'll see a message pop up on your screen alerting you that you're essentially logging in as the student without a password and will be able to perform any action as if they were the one doing it. However, our audit logs will record that you're the one who performed the actions on behalf of the student. You'll click the Act as Student button to proceed.
Once you're impersonating a student, you'll see the student's name in the upper right corner of the screen the entire time you're impersonating them. You'll then be able to navigate the platform from that student's perspective. Click the dropdown arrow next to the studen's name and select Stop Acting As User to end the impersonation session.
After you click the Stop Acting as User button, you'll be back in your instructor account.

Instructors can also click the student's name from the roster page to view the Enrollment Screen and click Act as Student from there:
